WhatsApp has just redesigned its iOS app completely and now offers a broadcast feature.
You can quickly spot the new layout when you update WhatsApp on your iOS7 device. What’s more significant among the many added tweaks on the popular messenger is the new ‘Broadcast List’ feature. It’s a welcome addition that enables you to message people in groups, rather than individually.
You can now set up lists and copy the same in any broadcast. It makes communicating less of a hassle when you need to touch base with specific circle of friends and colleagues. Your number has to be there in the contact list of people you are broadcasting to.
The iOS 7 inspired refreshed layout gives you larger thumbnails for shared photos. On your side, a feature allows you to crop a photo before you send it across. You can also use the device’s own font size by going to the iOS settings. The new interface also gives you an improved interface for managing your blocked contacts. An improved map that has some 3D touches is part of the features if you want to share your location information with friends. Optionally, you can use the Hide Places setting to turn off location sharing and keep your privacy.
WhatsApp is counted among the more popular social networks today. The new iOS 7 look is subtle and the Broadcast List feature is surely something any user would appreciate.
