A diary and a few register books recovered from the room of Ram Vriksha Yadav, the leader of the cult group that clashed with police last week in Mathura’s Jawahar Bagh, point to several leads on the group’s financial help, which reportedly take police to states likes Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

The recovered documents, police say, contain details of the source of cash along with names of the “sympathisers” and the places they belong to.

There are also acknowledgment receipts that Yadav used to issue to those providing funds. Photograph of some of these people are also found pasted on them.

Several ID cards have also been recovered by officials searching the premises and efforts are on to verify the names and addresses contained therein.
