Durban – The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolisi Kaunda, on Sunday called on the taxi industry to end violence.
“Violence will never solve problems, it only begets more violence. We call for an end to violence in the taxi industry, because our priority is to help it grow to greater heights.”
Kaunda added that there must be respect for the rule of law.
The newly-appointed MEC was speaking in a meeting with the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco). Kaunda said he would work together with the taxi industry to improve relations.
